Lado mahila Self Employment Centre

“Lado mahila swarojgar Kendra” is a self-employment project under the lado women foundation, a non-governmental organization that aims to empower women and girls through education and skill development. The project provides training and financial assistance to women from rural and urban poor backgrounds in Jaipur, Rajasthan.

Cotton wick machine

The project provides cotton wick machines to women who want to make cotton wicks for lamps and candles. The machines are easy to operate and can produce up to 10 kg of wicks per day. The project also helps the women to market their products and earn a profit.

Papad making

The project trains women to make papads, a thin crispy snack made from lentil flour. The project provides the raw materials, equipment, and packaging for papad making. The project also helps the women to sell their papads in local markets and shops.

Self help group

The project forms self help groups of 10 to 15 women who share common interests and goals. The self help groups provide mutual support, guidance, and savings to the members. The project also links the self help groups with banks and microfinance institutions for loans and credit.

Paper bag making

The project teaches women to make paper bags from recycled paper. The paper bags are eco-friendly and can be used for various purposes. The project also provides the paper, glue, scissors, and stamps for paper bag making. The project also helps the women to find customers for their paper bags.

Sewing

The project trains women to sew clothes, bags, cushions, curtains, and other items. The project provides the sewing machines, fabrics, threads, needles, and buttons for sewing. The project also helps the women to find buyers for their products.

Mehndi

The project trains women to apply mehndi, a temporary tattoo made from henna paste. The project provides the mehndi cones, designs, and books for mehndi application. The project also helps the women to find clients for their mehndi services.
